Ballast, Bulbs, or the Circuit - Please help...?

I have a light box with three 8' fluorescent lights - 120V. All three comes on fine then goes off after an hour or so. Then after a few hours later, they come back on. A friend of mine told me that the ballast is getting too hot, and told me to replace it. I did with a new one with the exact wiring that the new light box came with, but the problem persists. I've read postings about ballast problems but I am not sure. Am I having a bad electrical circuit (power), a bad ballast, or bad bulbs???

My question is are the parents who take their kids out of a school that has more minorities and put them in a school with less minorities public or private wrong? My school had advanced cles and generally out performed public schools in testing, but i will admit the public schools were at par in testing sometimes. I think it will actually help him feel more relaxed for the rest of the week. They are like us when it comes to exercise. If you have a very long, exhaustive run one day of the week, you'll be more tired and less willing to go on another one the next day. Any extra exercise is beneficial to them and help them get through the long weekdays when there's nobody at home. So go for it! :)

After the baby is born, is it wrong not to want any help at home?

Nothing wrong with this feeling. Its your baby and your house. Set your rules, but dont shut them out all together. They may come in handy when you and your husband need a nap or a night out. BELIEVE ME if this is your first you are going to want one eventually. Just let them visit, and tell them nicely but firmly you have it under control and you will call if you need anything like baby sitting or meals. Then just dont call :) My mom is the same and she was demanding to be in the room when my daughter was born, I finally had to yell at her to get out, that me and my husband had it under control. I told her to check on my dad and had the nurse shut the door and put the do not disturb sign on. She wanted to stay with me for a week since they lived 2 hours away, I told her no nicely, and that we will be down in a week to visit and she can have all the time she wants with the baby. I feel terribly horrible now since she ped away when my daughter turn 8 months, she died of Cancer complications though she was in remission. It was unexpected and I feel she wanted to just get to know her last granddaughter better, though people tell me it was the proper thing to do.

Low blood platelet disorder. 4 month old, Please Help!!!?

My nephew has been in the hospital for three weeks now and the doctors do not know what is wrong with him! He is 4 months old and his blood platelet count keeps dropping after blood transfusions. all of his organs are fine, including his bone marrow. But his body is eating his own blood platelet cells too fast for the marrow to produce enough, which is why it is low. I know this sounds like Thrombocytopenia or ITP, but unfortunately my nephew did not respond to treatment for that disease, so they crossed it out. He is also havins on his skin like Thrombocytopenia and bleeds out of his rectum when he goes to the bathroom, which is also a sign of Thrombocytopenia. But that is not what it is. So now the doctors are giving up and do not know what else to do! I am trying to reach out to everybody and anybody that might be able to know something . . . anything! Please help me. he is only four months old and doesn't deserve this torture. Doctors are definitly no help.

My laptop won't connect to my home wireless internet help please?

So last night (and for the past 2 weeks when I started to use the wireless) my laptop connected fine. But last night I was on the internet and I randomly lost connection. When I tried to re-connect it said No internet access and Limited Access. My laptop works when I hardwire it. My D-link is unsecured right now. Any tips on how I can fix this? ok so i finally got my diagnosis for knee. i have a torn ACL and torn Meniscus, my doctor said that i will have to replace my acl but didnt say much about my meniscus. My son is on Alimentum, for reflux, should he be switched now that he is better?

My son was first on Good Start formula, but was switched to Similac Alimentum formula at 2 weeks because he got very fussy, well here it was due to severe reflux. He was also put on the medicine Prevacid for the reflux. He is now 5 months and is still on the medicine but doesn't spit up very much if at all anymore. 96 maxima ignition switch problem?

96 Maxima ignition switch is not working right. I can turn the key and the dash lights come on but when i turn it to start it does nothing. its done this a couple times before but i was able to shimmy it and it would start. The car is stuck in a not-so-good part of town and has high end a/v equipment, so i need to get it home by tonite without a tow. All part stores are closed or dont have the part. Is there a quick fix to get it started? can i tap the 2 legs of the stator together with a screwdriver?

I am 32 weeks and last night something weird happened. I woke up to some intense contractions (12:42am). I have been having braxton hicks for a couple of months now, but these were different, stronger, the pain was crampy and i could feel them in my back and the tops of my thighs, so I started timing. By the time I got the 7th in 1 hour--roughly 5-6 minutes apart I called my doctor who told me to go to the hospital. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my hubby to get home (works night shift) and then we went. They put me in a room and monitored the contractions which continued at about 6 minutes apart for two hours and were getting stronger. At around 6am this morning they decided to give me terbutaline(?) and when she went to call the doctor to see if it was still safe (i have a heart problem) The contractions just mysteriously stopped. They monitored me for one more hour before I was discharged at 7am this morning. Has this happened to anyone? They were so regular for hours...

Why is my healthy cat losing weight?

My 11 yr old cat has lost weight over the last year since she turned 10 in spring '10. There have been no other changes other than weight loss. She is energetic (if not more so with the weight loss!), eats well and bodily functions are normal. I did change her food last year from Iams Healthy Weight/Hairball Control to the Purina One brand with the same attributes. Should I be concerned? Her vet was wondering about a 1 lb. weight loss last year when she had a summer checkup, but I would venture to say now she's likely lost another 2 lbs - a lot for a cat who at heaviest was 11 1/2 lbs. I hate to take her to the vet now as she's not due yet for a checkup until late July, and she seems fine. Honestly, I can not say there is anything else of concern other than she seems to be 'shrinking'! Has anyone been through this? Any ideas? I'd appreciate any input - I don't know anyone who's ever had this happen.

I'm a 14 year old girl.I usually fart loads but I find it near impossible to get one out. When I exert pressure onto it, it hurts and then when I let go it still hurts. Can someone tell me a way I can test to see what it it. I would go the doctors but their appointments are booked up for the next 4 weeks. I grew up in a really awful situation. My mother was extremely abusive and tormented me growing up. Things got so bad my mind couldn't take it, blacked out after witnessing a friend get hit by a semi, and I can only recall things that had either the strongest emotional effect on me or trivial things like what my teacher's name was in first grade. I could remember faces of people, know my relation to them, but I couldn't remember anything I had done with them or what they were like. Because they expected me to, I began to act a certain way and sorta became someone who wasn't really me when around a whole lot of people. At the end of May last year, I went to the police station and was laughed at, but a DHS lady was kind enough to help me out. I was seriously messed up in the head and wasn't exactly what people would refer to as 'sane'. I started school, met a really good friend of mine who helped me find myself although he didn't really mean to. We get along great, and have for the entire time we've known each other. He's almost everything I look for in a guy. I've only had three relationships, one with a perv who slept with my mother in 8th grade, one in 9th who wanted to be with me because I reminded him of a little girl because of how short I am, and at the end of 9th grade who turned out to be a stalker. I've only ever held hands with a guy, that's as far as I let any of those relationships go. Period. Now, I'm with someone who's become my best friend. He's shown me all kinds of things, taught me more about my Native American heritage, helped me get in touch with my tribal side, taught me myths and stories of old from all over the world, and he helped me find my sanity. He asked me out a little over a week ago, and I'm proud to say he's my boyfriend. Unfortunately, he's staying with his mother in another state for most of the summer. I completely understand, and I don't mind to much. Although I'm a year older than him and I am his first official girlfriend, our families both don't seem to mind. I currently live with my dad and step mom, by the way. I've spent some time with his family, and I really enjoy it so we're fine with that situation. My problem seems to be me. Although he seems to see all this wonderful stuff about me, as I see in him, I still have this innate ringing in the back of my mind that this won't turn out well. Something bad has to happen. I know that there is a very slim chance that we won't last forever like most insane couples seem to believe in High School, but something in my gut says we might. He matches me better than anyone I've ever met. Yet, because of my upbringing and how I grew up in such chaos, my mind seems to think that this will all be for nothing. I can't bring my mind to stop the pessimism and it's driving me insane. He knows about my past, we've discussed it many times, and I've told him my worries and fears. He knows I'm not normal and that my head is still partially warped, and he doesn't mind. He says it makes me who I am, and asked me to simply lean on him. I really want to, but I've fallen in love only once and the situation ended rather badly due to he was more of a child mentally and pretended to be someone he wasn't to get my attention. My feelings were genuine, not a child's crush. I was hurt, and now I'm afraid to love again. Yet, he knows everything, and we've talked about so many things through text since he's as shy as I am and doesn't want anyone overhearing our conversations. We talk everyday, and he knows that all I can see is this ending badly. He understands and always makes me feel better, but when he falls asleep, my mind falls back into the pattern. I don't see myself as good enough for him, but he does. He says sweet things, and asks that I trust him, which I do. I just don't know if I trust myself not to ruin this relationship. Any advice on what in the world I can do to keep myself together? If anything, I want to keep him if I can. There's just something about us, and coming from someone who's extremely ytical about people who best fit with each other and has played match maker a dozen times over for friends and got it right for quite a few years and is only messed up because the other got distracted and regretted it, things just fit. Fly rods typically have a better feel for fighting the fish and you can use flies that you would never be able to cast with a spinning reel and mono line. Spin casting is always a good alternative too. Spinners work very well, and if you can make it out just before or at the start of a rain shower, bobbers and worms can be very effective. That being said, its all in your personal preference. Not much can beat a worm just before the rain, and sometimes there isnt enough room to work a fly. My advice --- fish more so you can do both.

I am in a tough spot here... I was having a very bad day yesterday and I was stressed beyond my limits and I was walking out of the gym and the girl I like's best friends were being really really annoying like making faces, laughing at me, etc.. I was stressed with work and I couldn't get a moment's peace so I was just mad by the end of the day and that's when it happened.. I did the deed and I don't feel good about it. I think this will affect my chances of going out with her since that was my plan for yesterday.

Has anyone had a newborn they constantly had to wake for feedings?

My 5 day old baby very rarely wakes on her own for feedings. We were letting her determine her own feeding schedule while we were in the hospital but once we got home, she rarely woke on her own and started losing weight. Obviously we couldn't keep doing this, so we wake her every two hours during the day, and three at night to feed 1-2 oz's each time. She's also very difficult to wake for feedings, but was seen by the dr today who wasn't concerned about that. Said some babies can sleep up to 22 hours a day. I'm just frustrated that she doesn't seem to wake at all when she's hungry, and when we do wake her, we have to make an effort to keep her awake for the rest of the feeding. Just a frustrated new mom needing advice. :-\

I don't understand how someone could do that. I am so paranoid when it comes to taking my son out to the store. I am always holding on to his stroller. If I know I am going to be in that spot for awhole I lock the wheels on the stroller. I also make sure that he is strapped into his car seat so someone can't just pick him up and run out.

Introducing a pitbull puppy to a cat?

I just got a 6 month old pitpull female puppy. I've had a male cat who is about 3-4 years old. It's only been about 4 days but when the dog catches a glimpse of the cat, she goes running after him. It doesn't seem vicious or anything. She doesn't bark or act aggressively. She may just want to play. But, even though my cat is declawed in the front, I'm afraid if the dog catches him and starts to play that the cat will act defensively and use his back claws to hurt the dog. I've been keeping them separated but I can't do this forever. Any suggestions?

I've been baby sitting these kids to see what life is going to be like with my own children. These children are very good. Very well mannered but I feel as being older I might run the fun out of my child's future like my mother did for me? She never really let me follow my dreams. So - I have this mother-in-law. My husband does not like her and avoids her and somehow that is my fault. She does not want to believe he really feels that way... She does not work or anything but when my baby was born she never offered to come help even tho she knew I was recovering from c-section and having to take care of a 4 year old. She stopped by once for an hour (unannounced) and just whined about her problems and glanced at the new baby and ignored my 4 year old who was begging for her attention - then has the nerve to contact me the day after grandparents day wondering why she didn't get anything from us. Then I read that polyurethane doesn't adhere well to wood, doesn't adhere well to itself so multiple coats don't work well, doesn't adhere to anything, has a natural color which is a cold blue-gray and doesn't get the warm yellowing with age characteristic of traditional varnishes, can't be repaired if damaged (you need to sand it off and start over). I would prefer not to have to go through the pat down and would prefer the scanner but when it comes to traveling I am happy to do what I have to to feel safe.
