After Marine recruit training will things get even harder?

Someone just told me some things like after marine recruit training if you think thats hell. wait till you have go through the Infantry training regiment. what is it?? and how do things get worse after recruit training? I thought recruit training was the hard part and then after you are a US marine officially.
