Desegregation in society and in school?
Ok. I know no one likes racism and if you find that person is from the South then it automatically gets the stereotypical remarks. I was born in the South, but I have lived in California, North Carolina, Wyoming, Colorado, and stationed in Europe. Except Europe, no matter what state I lived in, each city and town was broken up racially. My question is are the parents who take their kids out of a school that has more minorities and put them in a school with less minorities public or private wrong? I saw the article on yahoo about a school that was doing this. If it is the parents desire to have their kid in a school that may give their kids the chance to excel. I went to a private school. My school had advanced cles and generally out performed public schools in testing, but i will admit the public schools were at par in testing sometimes. I also noticed that private schools gave the pupil more teacher - pupil relationship.
