Things "blew up" on my first day of my new major. No cussing, but some smart remarks and some bitterness ?

I wouldn't suggest you tell the dean you were just having a bad morning. That excuse is flip and unacceptable. It sounds like you've been a huge pain in the to these people...it takes quite a lot to make grown people say what they said to you. Maybe you should grow up and act your age...changing all of your coursework and your major because of a confrontation with an adviser doesn't make you look like a very dedicated student. How can they possibly give a future employer a good report on you if they are ever asked. This isn't high school anymore bub...these people don't have to care if you succeed or not...it's all up to you now.
