Why is the GOP criticizing Obama when McCain wanted to attack Iran over Nukes Program.?

The protesters are against the current government. McCain didn't want to blow up Iran's nuclear program but said it may be necessary if they continued working toward a nuclear bomb. That makes them on the same side.
