Is it obsessive to clean wash pegs between every use?

Between every load of washing I put out, I disinfect my pegs. It's something I've always done. Today one of my neighbours said it was a bit obsessive of me to clean my pegs between every load of washing I put out and asked me if I have an obsession with cleaning. Cleaning my pegs is something I've always done so they are clean when they touch the clothes. Is it obsessive to clean the pegs?
