What is the best vocational trade to get into that is in demand and growing...?

I want to go to school but don't want to waste my time and money at any school, be it a 2 year college or a vocational trade school, if in the end the career path won't even get me a job because it's a field that is either over saturated, zero growth and actually a dying field, or it actually requires more training then these vo tech schools claim. Anyone have any genuine information as to a real career path for an in demand, growing career field for a trade? Any suggestions for quick training is also welcome.
