I just got a 6 month old pitpull female puppy. I've had a male cat who is about 3-4 years old. It's only been about 4 days but when the dog catches a glimpse of the cat, she goes running after him. It doesn't seem vicious or anything. She doesn't bark or act aggressively. She may just want to play. But, even though my cat is declawed in the front, I'm afraid if the dog catches him and starts to play that the cat will act defensively and use his back claws to hurt the dog. I've been keeping them separated but I can't do this forever. Any suggestions?
